Cinnamon is used to flavour beverages like hot Chocolate, Cocoa, alcoholic beverages, hot Toddies with fruit juices, . Also used in baked foods, cakes, cookies, puddings, cereals, sweet sauces, jams, jellies, pickles, relishes, vinegars or used alone as a spicy hot Tea.
|This is TRUE CINNAMON (cinnamomum verum), not cassia. True cinnamon is found mainly in Sri Lanka, India, Madagascar, Brazil and the Caribbean. Cassia is a more common spice of the cinnamon family, found in China, Indonesia and Viet Nam. It is believed most of the cinnamon consumed in the USA is cassia, which contains higher levels of Coumarin.
KEY DIFFERENTIATOR: True cinnamon contains lesser levels of Coumarin. Coumarin when taken in excess is believed to be a threat to liver health. By far the benefits of cinnamon make it attractive however using our True Cinnamon is recommended over cassia.
